The Masterpiece Showroom and Art Gallery is concept created by Paul Szewc to be an outlet to display his art furniture. It has now evolved into a place for artist to display their work to the public for a low commission price.

The construction of the gallery was completed in fall 2009 it involves many Energy saving and environmental considerations. The pine floor is made from recycled barn board from the previous building. The ceiling is recycled plywood from the roof of the previous building. The entire floor is heated with water and is more efficient than forced air heating. Long skinny windows are used to allow natural sunlight in the gallery but do not take up large amount of wall space. Motion detection lights with energy efficient halogen bulbs are used to save on electricity.

The gallery encompass 2400ft2 of display space. The layout of the gallery involves 2 sections: a grand room and a sub divided section. The gallery displays more than 30 artists in Southern Ontario including a collection in excess of 150 original paintings, with a large assortment of glass and pottery as well.

Paul has been exhibiting at major art and craft shows in southern Ontario since 2001. He has selected top artist that have peaked his interest throughout the years to be involved in his gallery. "If it (the artwork) causes a reaction than the artist has won" said Paul when being asked about his taste in art. He enjoys art that is non traditional and obscure such as "Scowl" a cartoon painting done by David Irvine about an angry hotdog, or his other favourite painting "Stewardess Fight 1" by Kirsten Johnson involving 5 Stewardesses form rival airlines involved in what seems to be a cat fight with hair pulling and ramp with emotion. Both paintings are on display in the Masterpiece permanent collection.
